In this arc, Ichigo faces off against Aizen Sousuke, a powerful former Shinigami who has betrayed the Soul Society and created an army of Arrancar.

The Thousand-Year Blood War arc

The final arc of the anime, the Thousand-Year Blood War, follows Ichigo and his allies as they fight against the Wandenreich, a group of Quincy who seek to destroy the Soul Society.
