Dreamfyre Size

Dreamfyre: The Fifth-Largest Dragon in House of the Dragon

Appearance and Characteristics

Dreamfyre is a magnificent dragon bred by House Targaryen. She is known for her striking emerald scales, long, flowing neck, and fiery breath. Despite her great size, Dreamfyre is relatively slender and graceful, making her one of the most agile dragons in Westeros.

History

Dreamfyre's lineage can be traced back to the dragons of Old Valyria. She was hatched during the reign of King Aegon I Targaryen and was later bonded to Princess Rhaena Targaryen. Rhaena was a young girl when she first claimed Dreamfyre, and the two formed a close and loyal relationship. After Rhaena's untimely death, Dreamfyre was passed down to her daughter, Lady Helaena Targaryen. Helaena, however, rarely rode Dreamfyre, preferring to spend her time with her books and studies. As a result, Dreamfyre's true potential remained largely untapped until the reign of King Viserys I Targaryen. During the Dance of the Dragons, Dreamfyre was ridden by Prince Jacaerys Velaryon, who used her in battle against the forces of his uncle, Aegon II Targaryen.

Size and Comparison

Dreamfyre is the fifth-largest dragon in House of the Dragon, after Vhagar, Caraxes, Meleys, and Vermithor. She is slightly smaller than Quicksilver, another dragon bonded to House Targaryen. Historians believe that Dreamfyre would not have been much of a threat to Quicksilver in a direct confrontation due to her smaller size and less aggressive nature.
