The Rose Bowl: An American Icon

A Historical Landmark

Since 1982, the Rose Bowl has been the home stadium of the UCLA Bruins football team. It has also hosted five Super Bowl games, the third most of any venue in the country.

UCLA's Home Field

In 1969, UCLA pivoted to plans for what became Drake Stadium, the 11,700-seat track and field stadium that opened that year. Curiously, the university received permission from the Regents of the University of California to name the stadium after track and field coach Dean Cromwell.

A Legacy of Greatness

The Rose Bowl is an American outdoor athletic stadium located in Pasadena, California, a northeast suburb of Los Angeles. It is the official facilities page for the UCLA Bruins.
