How To Clean Washing Machine Rubber Seal Mould

How to Clean a Washing Machine Rubber Seal: A Comprehensive Guide

Step 1: Pre-Clean the Rubber Seal

To effectively clean the rubber seal, start by removing any loose dirt or debris with a clean, absorbent material such as a cotton rag or towel. This pre-cleaning helps remove excess moisture and contaminants, ensuring a more thorough subsequent cleaning.

Method 1: Warm Water and Detergent

For general cleaning, dip a clean towel or cotton pad in warm water and apply a small amount of dish soap. Gently wipe the rubber seal, removing any visible dirt or debris. Rinse thoroughly with clean water and wipe dry with a clean towel.

Method 2: White Vinegar for Mold Treatment

If the rubber seal exhibits mold or mildew growth, white vinegar's natural disinfectant properties can effectively combat it. Apply undiluted white vinegar to the affected areas using a spray bottle or cotton ball. Allow it to sit for 15-20 minutes, then wipe away the loosened debris with a clean towel. Rinse thoroughly with water and wipe dry.
